About Me
Dr. Susan Ching began practicing Family Medicine in 2022 and joined Mount Sinai in 2024. After completing her undergraduate studies at SUNY Stony Brook, Dr. Ching earned her medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her residency in Family Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, followed by her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at NYU Langone Long Island. As a double board certified physician by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Ching's clinical interests include preventative medicine, annual wellness exams, and women's health.
In her professional community, Dr. Ching is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians. She is also involved in academia, as she serves as an Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine.
When discussing her pathway into medicine, Dr. Ching explains, "I became a Family Medicine physician because I wanted to have a positive impact and build long lasting relationships with my patients while helping to prevent future problems, manage chronic illnesses and address problems as they arise, with the goal of keeping them healthy and maintaining their quality of life."

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
I was so pleased with Dr Ching's patience and collegial approach. We were able to come up with a good plan for me vs the standard approach.
Dr. Was wonderful. Put family at ease was thorough patient. Made a plan for future care.
