Dr. AlFarra is passionately dedicated to optimizing functional outcomes by combining a holistic approach with the latest advancements. He offers a full panel of evidence-based solutions for patients with cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral spine related pain. He also has expertise in a variety of other conditions including CRPS, peripheral neuropathy, phantom limb pain, and peripheral joint arthritis of the shoulders, hips, and knees.

Dr. AlFarra is a strong believer in employing the most conservative viable treatment options. Beyond conservative measures, he offers a wide range of interventions spanning from injections and ablations to minimally invasive procedures including spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, basivertebral nerve ablation (Intracept procedure), endoscopic rhizotomy, minimally invasive discectomy, vertebral augmentation, and minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD).

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. AlFarra remains actively involved in advocating for his patient through research and education. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, covering a wide spectrum of topics, including neuromodulation, radiofrequency ablation, post-ablation neuritis, and the use of cannabinoids in pain treatment. Dr. AlFarra has been invited to present his research at numerous medical conferences, both domestically and internationally. He also serves as a co-director of media and public relations for the American Academy of Pain Medicine, where he proudly promotes the advancement of his field and colleagues.

Dr. AlFarra welcomes new patients at Mount Sinai Downtown Union Square and at Mount Sinai Faculty Practice Associates on East 98th Street.
