About Me
Dr. Taya Parnas has practiced Internal Medicine for over 10 years. After completing her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, Dr. Parnas graduated with her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine, as well as her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine, at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center. As a double-board certified physician in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, Dr. Parnas specializes in helping patients adopt healthy lifestyle practices. Additionally, Dr. Parnas is multilingual and can communicate with her patients in English and medical Spanish, as well as conversational Russian.
Before joining Mount Sinai in 2019, Dr. Parnas spent almost 10 years in primary care at Montefiore Medical Center. In her professional community, she is a member of the American Geriatric Society.
For Dr. Parnas, medicine is a way to help patients to improve their quality of life by decreasing illness and promoting healthy lifestyle practices. Outside of her time in the office, Dr. Parnas enjoys reading and exercising.
