About Me
Dr. Teddy Efkarpides has practiced Podiatric Medicine since 1988 and joined Mount Sinai as a Podiatrist in 2022. After completing his undergraduate studies at Queens College, Dr. Efkarpides graduated with his medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his surgical training with the same institution and has since served the community of Queens for more than 30 years. With his certifications by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Academy of Wound Healing, Dr. Efkarpides has a special interest in diabetic care. Additionally, Dr. Efkarpides is bilingual and can communicate with patients in English and Greek.
In his professional community, Dr. Efkarpides is a member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. When discussing his time in medicine, Dr. Efkarpides explains, "I always enjoyed teaching surgery. I helped train surgical residents at both MSHQ and at North Shore Hospital until recently."

The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey.
