Tianyi (Tina) Lu, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery (Colon and Rectal) at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Lu earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2013 from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed a general surgery residency at State University of New York at Buffalo in 2018, after which she completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Mount Sinai Health System.
Dr. Lu is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She has been the lead or co-author on multiple publications and has presented her work in various venues.
Her clinical focus is broad, but her interests include colon and rectal cancer and its various treatments, especially laparoscopic approaches, and benign anorectal pathology including pelvic floor disorders and fecal incontinence.
Dr. Lu sees patients at The Mount Sinai Hospital, the Chinatown Office on Centre Street, and in the Flushing Office.
