About Me
Toni Stern, MD, MS, MBA, is the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science System Vice-Chair of Quality, Clinical Transformation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Chief Patient Experience Officer as well as Senior Faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Stern joined the faculty in February 2019.
Dr. Stern received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH, and completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Master of Science in Management from New York University Wagner School of Public Service in New York, NY, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY.
Dr. Stern is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as healthcare quality and management. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. She is also a certified physician executive of the American Association for Physician Leadership. Dr. Stern is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In her role, Dr. Stern focuses on the Department’s Quality and Patient Safety Program as well as Patient Experience and the integration with quality and equity, with the goal of utilizing this integrated approach to identify and eliminate disparities.
