Trevor R Pour, MD

Trevor Pour, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He previously served as Associate Program Director and Site Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and remains core faculty within the education division of Emergency Medicine. He also directs the Anatomy curriculum at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is the recipient of numerous faculty teaching awards at both the graduate and undergraduate level and is academically active and is published and lectures nationally in the fields of emergency medicine, palliative care, pediatrics, emergency gynecology/obstetrics, rural medicine, health policy, and medical education.

Dr. Pour earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai, including a year as chief resident. In addition to his clinical activity, which includes both adult and pediatric emergency medicine, Dr. Pour serves a number of other roles in the Mount Sinai Health System. He provides specialized sports medicine to athletes in New York City as a finish line physician at the New York City Marathon and as a courtside player physician at the US Open. He also works clinically at the Cheyenne River Health Center in Eagle Butte South Dakota as part of Mount Sinai's partnership with the Indian Health Service. He also serves on the Mount Sinai systemwide steering committees for the Difficult Airway Response Team and the Emergency Medicine Evidence-Based Pathway committee.
