About Me
Tristen S. Park, MD, is a board-certified breast surgical oncologist committed to delivering state-of-the-art care to patients with breast cancer and those at elevated risk. She is widely recognized for her expertise in advanced breast surgical techniques, including nipple-sparing mastectomy, lumpectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, targeted and complete axillary dissections, and innovative hidden-scar approaches. Dr. Park has an interest in robotic breast surgery, having trained and collaborated with internationally renowned experts across Europe and Asia.
Dr. Park earned her medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons after studying at Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences in Molecular Biology and Classical Piano Performance. She completed her General Surgery residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, followed by a prestigious research fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Immunotherapy at the National Cancer Institute. She subsequently completed a highly competitive fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Duke University Medical Center.
Previously a faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Park is a dedicated champion of global surgical collaboration and innovation. She founded the International Breast Surgery Program, an influential initiative that has successfully connected leading breast surgeons from Europe, the United Kingdom, East Asia, and the United States to foster high-impact educational and research collaborations worldwide. She is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Global Breast Cancer Conference, and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. She is a frequently invited speaker on breast surgery and global collaboration.
Dr. Park sees patients at The Blavatnik Family Chelsea Medical Center and Mount Sinai-Union Square and performs surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
