About Me
Dr. Chaddha is the Associate Director of Interventional Pulmonology and Director of the Pleural Service at Mount Sinai. He is a board-certified interventional pulmonologist who completed his fellowship training at the University of Chicago. His clinical expertise includes advanced airway and pleural interventions such as airway stenting, ablative techniques, robotic bronchoscopy, bronchoscopic lung volume reduction, endobronchial ultrasound, indwelling pleural catheter placement, and thoracoscopy for pleural biopsies and pleurodesis, and the management of complex pleural space diseases such as malignant pleural effusions and empyema, amongst others.
Dr. Chaddha has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, with work presented at national and international meetings. He is widely recognized for his leadership in developing international practice standards. Dr. Chaddha is the lead author of the World Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP) guidelines on airway stenting in benign and malignant central airway obstruction, as well as consensus statements on intrapleural enzyme therapy for empyema and the management of chylothorax. He also served as the first author on the IASLC–AABIP guideline on the safety and adequacy of bronchoscopic biopsies, among other documents.
