About Me

Dr. Utpal Sagar has practiced cardiology for close to 10 years. After graduating from Nova Southeastern University with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Sagar attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for his doctorate studies. He then moved to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for his residency in Internal Medicine, followed by the University of Colorado (CU) for his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Sagar was awarded Clinical Fellow of the Year during his final year at CU, before finishing off his training with an Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. With his board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography, Dr. Sagar's specialties include coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Additionally, Dr. Sagar is multilingual and can speak with patients in English, Spanish, and Gujarati.

Prior to joining Mount Sinai Palm Beach in 2016, Dr. Sagar worked with the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He has also taught as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his years in practice, Dr. Sagar has received a number of awards and honors, co-authored several book chapters in his field, and presented at national conferences. Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Sagar enjoys playing the guitar, digital photography, American nostalgia, classic television and comedy, and nonfiction literature.
