About Me
Vaibhav Patel, MD, is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves full-time as the Senior Medical Director of Clinical Development in Oncology at Arvinas, Inc. His clinical focus is the management of genitourinary malignancies, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. Dr. Patel also served as Assistant Director of Cancer Clinical Trials at Mount Sinai West from 2020-2022.
Dr. Patel’s research interests include the development of novel biomarkers and therapeutics in prostate cancer, and novel immunotherapeutic strategies to target cancer. He has served as a principal investigator or sub-investigator in over 25 clinical trials of novel therapies in genitourinary malignancies. He has also built databases, comprised of real-world-data (RWD), to identify clinicogenomic predictors of patient outcomes with novel therapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and second-generation androgen-targeted therapies. Dr. Patel has authored over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals such as CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Reviews Urology, and European Urology, and Annals of Oncology, and JCO Precision Oncology.
