About Me
Dr. Valeria Loukanova is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician, seeing patients of all ages in Midtown. She was awarded her medical degree from Medical University, Pleven, Bulgaria, and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors, Dr. Loukanova served as the Clinical Director at Urban Health Plan, Inc for 10 years.
Dr. Loukanova has a special interest in preventive care and the management of long-term conditions. She believes patients benefit the most from a proactive approach to living a healthy life and benefit the most from personalized care. Dr. Loukanova is fluent in English, Russian, and Bulgarian.
