Research
Dr. Gandhi’s research interests include Vitamin D, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and chronic stress. Patients with HIV/AIDS are living longer due to highly active antiretroviral treatment and are developing chronic illnesses similar to the general population. Many of these chronic illnesses are due to poor lifestyle including diet, lack of exercise and chronic stress. Dr. Gandhi conducts studies addressing the impact of nutrition and exercise on chronic illnesses.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.

Likelihood to Recommend Care Provider
Dr. Ghandi went above and beyond accommodating my unforseen lateness by making sure I still got the care I was seeking.
Dr V Gandhi is a rare medical professional who shows compassion towards and personal interest in her patients. She is an expert in her field and applies a wide body of knowledge to her patients care. I am lucky to be her patient and could not recommend her more highly
