About Me

Dr. Vani George is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she serves as a full-time faculty attending in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.

Dr. George earned her Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at Binghamton University in Vestal, NY and her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY and her infectious diseases fellowship training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Morningside, and West in New York, NY. 

With a focused interest in the fields of HIV/ AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, multidrug resistant bacterial infections, viral hepatitis, fungal infections, mycobacterial infections, travel medicine, and vaccinations, Dr. George follows a large number of patients at Peter Krueger Clinic and Mount Sinai Downtown Union Square.
