About Me
Virginia Baez, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Baez received her medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezueala Luis Razetti School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Albert Einstein Medical Center and completed her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, where she was an attending for 10 years and director of the eosinophilic esophagitis.
Clinical Focus:
Dr. Baez specializes in eosinophilic esophagitis and eosinophilic gastroenteritis, although she enjoys taking care of any patient with GI illness like celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, constipation, reflux, and more. She believes in providing timely, high-quality care to all his patients and focuses on family centered model.
