Dr. Futterweit has a career commitment to the study of polycystic ovary\r\nsyndrome (PCOS). Currently he is studying the natural history of this disease; one\r\nof the the most common endocrine disorders of reproductive aged women. The\r\ncohort size is >800 patients followed for 2-15 years. Important issues that are to be\r\naddressed are the incidence rates of concomitant disease including heart\r\ndisease, diabetes, breast, uterine and pituitary dysfunctions. This is part of a\r\nnational PCOS Multisite Study.
