
About Me
Dr. Chu was raised in Forest Hills, NY, and attended CUNY, Queens College for her undergraduate study and earned her Master of Public Health (M.P.H) with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from The George Washington University in 2004. She was a recipient of multiple scholarships, honors/award in both undergraduate and graduate studies. She conducted epidemiologic studies on E. coli contamination in ground beef at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington, DC during her years of graduate study in public health. Dr. Chu received her degree in medicine (D.O.) from NYIT/New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. She completed her internship and residency training in both dermatology and family medicine at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY, and has served as a dermatology chief resident during her last year of residency in 2013. Dr. Chu has won multiple resident poster competitions and authored articles in the Journal of American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. She is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and a member of American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and American Medical Association.
