Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology

Won-Taek Choe, M.D. is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Neurotology Society, and the North American Skull Base Society.  He is an accomplished surgeon, performing over 300 otologic and neurotologic/skull base surgeries per year.

Dr. Choe offers the full range of treatments for disorders of the ear and lateral skull base, including such cutting-edge technologies as cochlear implantation and bone-anchored hearing devices.  He also has particular expertise in the treatment of otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, and congenital atresia.

Dr. Choe pioneered one of the first treatments for chronic biofilm-based infections of the ear, often curing infections that have failed to respond to multiple antibiotics or even surgery.

Dr. Choe takes care of his patients personally, and is a highly dedicated and well-reviewed physician.

Dr. Choe graduated from Harvard College with a Magna Cum Laude in the Biochemical Sciences.   He then received his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he scored over the 99th percentile on his Board examinations.  He performed with distinction as a resident in otolaryngology at Stanford University, and completed his fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the renowned California Ear Institute (Stanford-affiliated), where he trained with world leaders in cochlear implantation, laser stapedotomy, congenital atresia, and acoustic neuroma surgery.
