About Me
Dr. Yaakov (Jake) Beilin is a Professor of Anesthesiology and OB/GYN and the Vice-Chair for Quality at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, NY. He is also the Director of Obstetric Anesthesia and the Director of the Obstetric anesthesia fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Beilin’s research interests include neuraxial anesthesia, coagulation, and patient safety. He Chair's the Hospitals Clinical Review Committee, a safety committee for the hospital. He has published more than 80 peer reviewed articles and 40 book chapters. He is also an editor of the 5th and 6th editions of the premier obstetric anesthesia textbook: Chestnut’s Obstetric Anesthesia: Principles and Practice. He has delivered more than 280 lectures, both nationally and internationally, on various obstetric anesthesia and safety related topics. Dr. Beilin serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia and the Obstetric Anesthesia Digest.
