About Me
Yael Kufert, MD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital, where she works on the pediatric consultation-liaison psychiatry service.
She is interested in medical education and serves as Associate Program Director for the Triple Board Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, and as Associate Clerkship Director for the Psychiatry Clerkship at the Icahn School of Medicine.
Dr. Kufert received her medical degree from Tel Aviv University and completed her internship at Sheba Medical Center. She completed her psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt (now Morningside) and her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as Chief Fellow.
