About Me
Yang Xu is a current PhD student in the Development Regeneration and Stem Cells (DRS) training area at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Yang Xu is a member of Kovacic Lab where he focuses on cardiovascular diseases based on mouse and pig models as well as human samples. He is especially interested in the role of endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) in atherosclerosis. Yang Xu's research is aiming at dissecting the biological process of EndMT in atherosclerosis and its relationship with endothelial regeneration, which is important in preventing and treating vessel plaques.
