About Me
Dr. Yee Soo Kim joined Mount Sinai Doctors in 2025 as a Cardiologist. After completing her undergraduate studies at University of Toronto, Dr. Kim earned her medical degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She then moved to the United States for her residency in Internal Medicine at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, followed by her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Mount Sinai Morningside West. During her final year of fellowship, Dr. Kim served as Chief Cardiology Fellow where she gained experience in leading teaching sessions, developing curricula, and organizing conferences with her fellow colleagues. Dr. Kim is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. She is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Kim's clinical interests include preventative cardiology and women's heart health.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kim is involved in teaching residents and fellows during their rotations at Mount Sinai Queens. She also participates in several outreach programs, including giving presentations on cardiovascular health at local community centers. Additionally, Dr. Kim has authored publications and presented posters at national conferences on the treatment and management of heart failure.
When speaking about her role in medicine, Dr. Kim explains, "Teaching and medical education are my passions, encompassing both the training of medical residents and fellows as well as educating the patients I see in my clinic each day. I believe that understanding one's own condition is essential to effective disease management and recovery."
Dr. Kim is bilingual and can communicate with patients in both English and Korean.
