About Me
Dr. Yekaterina Fatakhov began practicing Internal Medicine in 2023 and joined Mount Sinai in the same year. After completing her undergraduate studies and first two years of medical school at Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Dr. Fatakhov finished her education and earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She then pursued her residency in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital where she focused on primary care medicine. Dr. Fatakhov sees patients for all their primary care needs. She is interested in overall community health and long-term care, as she believes that building lasting relationships between a patient and a physician is a huge contributor to overall health. Additionally, Dr. Fatakhov is bilingual and can communicate with patients in both English and Russian.
In her professional community, Dr. Fatakhov is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. She has also worked on different research initiatives and publications, with one of her works focusing on the impact of the B7 family on the outcomes of osteosarcoma.
When discussing her role in primary care, Dr. Fatakhov explains, "I love primary care and I love this community. I grew up in Queens and I have always wanted to give back to the community. My best advice to a patient is to find a provider that you trust and create a lasting relationship with him or her. I would love to be that provider for my patients and be with them throughout the years to keep them healthy and see them through all of life's greatest moments." Outside of her time with patients, Dr. Fatakhov enjoys spending time with her family and kids.
