Yuichiro Kuwama, MD

Yuichiro Kuwama, MD is a board-certified primary care doctor at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients Monday - Friday in Midtown. Trained in Tokyo and New York, he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He was awarded his medical degree from the University of Tokyo’s School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. He has been nationally recognized, receiving the Dr. Stuart C. Alexander Award for Most Outstanding Medical House Officer in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Beth Israel Medical Center and chosen as a member of the Leo M. Davidoff Society for providing high quality teaching at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors, he served as the health commentator for various Japanese television programs and contributor author for several medical journals and Japanese medical textbooks. Dr. Kuwama is fluent in Japanese.

桑間 雄一郎医師は、東京大学医学部を卒業し日本の外科認定医になった後、ベスイスラエル・メディカルセンターでの臨床研修を経て内科専門医の資格を取得しました。2000年よりマンハッタンのマウントサイナイ東京海上記念診療所（Japanese Medical Practice）に勤務し、同診療所の院長を務めています。20年以上にわたり米国における日系社会や米人も含めた地域医療に貢献しており、マウントサイナイ・アイカーン医科大学の准教授も兼任しています。
