About Me
Dr. Yuji Yamada is an Assistant Professor at the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. His expertise spans geriatrics, internal medicine, and public health, supported by extensive international training and research contributions.
Dr. Yamada earned his M.D. from Keio University School of Medicine, Japan, and later specialized in internal medicine and geriatrics, achieving board certifications in both Japan and the United States. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Public Health at Mount Sinai and a Ph.D. from St. Marianna University, Japan.
He has held various academic and clinical appointments, including roles in Japan and the U.S., and has made notable contributions to addressing vaccine hesitancy. As the founder of the Corowa-kun Supporters Inc., Dr. Yamada developed an AI-powered chatbot that has been used by over 70,000 individuals to improve COVID-19 vaccine acceptance. His leadership in this initiative has garnered international media attention and prestigious research awards.
In addition to his clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Yamada is a co-founder of APSARA, a non-profit organization advancing medical education in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. His commitment to education is evident through his mentoring and teaching activities, which have significantly impacted medical students and residents globally.
