Kumi Yuki, MD
Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Primary Care
About Me
Dr. Kumi Yuki is a double board-certified physician specializing in Family Medicine and Psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from Nagoya City University in Japan and completed her advanced combined residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she served as a chief resident.
Dr. Yuki’s practice is built on a "whole-person" care model, emphasizing the essential balance between physical and mental well-being. Currently, she serves the Mount Sinai Medical Doctors Group in two capacities: as a Virtual Primary Care physician and as a psychiatrist within the Integrated Psychiatry clinic. She believes that the best medicine starts with a strong partnership and is always delighted to welcome new patients into her practice.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yuki is a mother of two and an avid animal lover who shares her home with a dog and two cats.
Practice Guidelines & Care Coordination
To provide the most effective care for our community, please note the following guidelines for Dr. Yuki’s psychiatric consultation clinic:
Establishing Care: The Integrated Psychiatry Clinic serves as a short-term "bridge" (typically six months to one year) between your primary care physician and long-term mental health care.
Friday In-Person Clinic: While much of Dr. Yuki’s practice is virtual, she sees patients in person on Fridays only.
ADHD Evaluations: Please note that all comprehensive ADHD evaluations are conducted exclusively during these Friday in-person appointments.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
