About Me
Our lab combines novel imaging approaches with genetics to study neural system structures in the whole organism level. We study from individual neurons to assembled circuitries for their proper formation to ensure mature functions, as well as their changes in aging and disease. This is the basic knowledge that we need in order to understand how our brains (and peripheral nervous systems) mediate a myriad of physiological functions, how they adapt or maladapt to changes and stresses, and how we may restore their functions in human mutations and diseases.
